Singer-Songwriters
Solo performers and duos who need clear vocal and instrument reinforcement.
Bands & Groups
Full bands needing multi-channel mixing, monitors, and professional engineering.
Showcase Producers
Multi-artist showcases needing quick changeovers and consistent sound.
Venues & Studios
Spaces that need a sound system and engineer brought in for a specific show.
Performances from solo acts to full bands in venues from 30 to 500+ capacity. Singer-songwriter systems need 4 to 8 channels. Full band productions may require 16 to 32 channels, multiple monitors, and a dedicated FOH engineer.
Singer-Songwriter System
Two speakers, a mixer, 2 to 4 mics, and a DI. For solo performers and duos.
Small Band System
Speakers, sub, monitors, 8 to 16 channels, drum mics, and an engineer. For 3 to 5 piece bands.
Full Production
Multiple speaker zones, subwoofers, stage monitors, 24+ channels, and a dedicated FOH engineer. For larger bands and showcase events.
A sound engineer manages front-of-house mixing, monitor mixes, feedback control, and multi-artist changeovers. Included in band and showcase packages. Available as an add-on for simpler setups.
Battery-powered systems available for outdoor performances, street sessions, and venues without accessible power. Not suitable for full band productions — those require traditional powered systems.
For larger band productions, festivals, and multi-stage events, we scale through established rental partners to provide additional monitors, subs, microphones, line arrays, crew, and production management.
What is portable live music production?
Portable live music production means bringing a complete sound system — PA speakers, subwoofers, mixers, microphones, monitors, and an engineer — directly to your venue or performance location. We build the system around the artist and the room, not around a generic package.
Can you handle a full band setup?
Yes. We provide enough channels, microphones, and monitors for full bands — vocal mics, instrument inputs, drum mic kits, DI boxes, and monitor mixes. For larger band productions that exceed our core inventory, we cross-rent additional equipment through established partners.
Do you provide monitors for performers?
Yes. Stage monitors, in-ear monitor systems, and wedge mixes are available. The engineer manages monitor mixes separately from the front-of-house mix so performers can hear themselves clearly.
Can you record a live music performance?
Yes. We offer multitrack recording — each vocal and instrument captured on a separate channel for post-event mixing. We can also add multicamera video capture and livestreaming for a complete live session recording.
How much does live music production cost in NYC?
Pricing depends on the number of channels, equipment needed, event duration, and whether you need an engineer or recording. We provide a written quote after assessing your performance, venue, and technical requirements.
Can you set up in a small venue or unusual space?
Yes. We specialize in right-sized production — singer-songwriter systems for small rooms, compact band setups for bars and studios, and portable systems for unusual spaces. We do not push oversized systems when a practical setup will serve the event.
Final pricing depends on event duration, location, audience size, transportation, venue access, equipment requirements, setup time, staffing, power availability, and breakdown requirements. Threshold provides a written quote before booking.
